Japanese tuner Branew just released some teaser pictures of its upcoming Branew Nissan 370Z which will debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon (SEE YOU THERE!)
Photos reveal some sexy new aerodynamic body parts (front spoiler, side step, rear wing and diffuser), and the 370Z is also slammed with 22 inch chrome Branew alloy wheels. All body parts except the rear wing will be available in fiberglass or carbon fiber. I must say I am a fan of these body modifications!
The 370Z convertible made it’s debut this week’s at the New York Auto Show. The show will also mark the debut of the US version of the Nismo 370Z S-Tune (Anthony photographed the Japanese S-Tune at the Tokyo Auto Salon back in January!)
Few convertibles make me happy. Usually I find them to a useless departure from their far superior coupe sibling. However, Nissan has done what few others have, make a convertible that's better than the coupe.
On this episode of The Smoking Tire, Matt pits the exclusive Lamborghini LP 560 against a Ford GT TT and an R8 S/C to see who can hit the highest speed on a road course, and reviews the 370Z convertible. Talk about a double-feature.
Not until this years Los Angeles Auto Show will Nissan officially unveil it’s new 370Z sports car.
However a few lucky drivers on HWY 60 running through Phoenix, Arizona recently got a sneak peak! One auto enthousiast was even able to capture the Nissan mule on video, giving us a glimpse of the 370Z!
In 2003, Nissan revived the Z by releasing the 350Z - an everyday sports car aimed at a much larger market than previous Zs. The 350Z lacked much of what the Z was about. The styling was bland, a properly tuned 300ZX TT could still blow the doors off of it, and it was missing the personality of the old Zs. The 350Z was meant for the regular Joe who said “I want a sports car” - not the enthusiast.
For 2009, this has all changed…
Imagine owning a car for each day of the week. Which car would you drive on Monday? What about Friday? Do you have a weekend car in mind? If you were to own seven different Nissan models, what would they be to successfully get you through the hustle and bustle of a normal week? Here’s a few ideas:
It has been 40 years since Nissan first introduced the Z car to American drivers. To commemorate that milestone, and to celebrate a car that still holds the title of the best selling sports car of all time, Nissan will be launching the 2010 40th anniversary Nissan 370Z.
Impul Nissan 370Z The new body kit has an aggressive front bumper which gives the car a trademark Impul facelift, new side skirts, rear half bumper and a rear wing to complete the car s sportive design. The car comes with 19 Impul Racing Acura SR 08 rims in sizes of 19 8.5 + 21 at the front side and 19 8.5 + 29 on the rear side equipped with wide tires and it also has a new brake system and a special suspension made by Impul which makes this 370Z handle really well at high speeds.
Sources have confirmed that the 350Z replacement will be codenamed Z34 and will feature the VQ37VHR 3.7-litre DOHC 24-valve V6 expected to be the basis of the 2008 GT-R twin-turbo powerplant.
Finally, highly anticipated and offical Nissan 370Z Pictures were released earlier this week. I was a fan of the 350Z when it came out purely because it had been such a long time since the last 300ZX turned heads, but within 2 years it’s looks and styling seem to fade into the boring crowd. The 350Z doesn’t do for me what the 300ZX still does. This freshly designed 370Z reminds me of a Datsun 240Z especially around its ass end shape.
2009 Nissan 370Z is shorter (by 4 inches), wider, lower and lighter (by 95 pounds), stiffer and more powerful (332 horsepower from the 3.7 liter V 6 engine.
